Pinta Foundation and MALI Museum Acquisition Fund

The Pinta Acquisition Fund is an initiative aimed at strengthening Latin American contemporary art collections through strategic acquisitions that consolidate institutional heritage and expand the visibility of art from the region.

Within the framework of Pinta Lima, the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) carried out a curatorial selection of works presented at the fair for inclusion in its collection. In this edition, the selected works were Sabiduría ancestral (Lhahanyaj) (2026) by Mariela Segundo (Special Project), as well as Sasachacuy warmi (dificultades de mujer) (2025) by Gaudencia Yupari Quispe (Herlitzka & Co. / Henrique Faria). The Pinta Foundation supported this process through a financial contribution matched by the museum, consolidating a model that brings together financial synergy and curatorial vision.

Through this fund, not only is MALI’s institutional collection strengthened, but artists are also projected beyond the context of the fair, integrating their practices into a public collection and contributing to the development of the Latin American art ecosystem from a sustainable and collaborative perspective.

In this same spirit of collaboration and institutional strengthening, a donation of materials from Faber-Castell to the museum’s education department was also carried out. This contribution supports and enhances MALI’s educational activities, reaffirming the commitment of Pinta and its partners to the integral development of the artistic field.
