Editorial Sector | FAN

Curated by: Sol Echevarría

FAN is a project dedicated to research, the exhibition of contemporary art projects, and the development of experimental publications.

Its space is located in the Retiro area and is part of a “gallery of galleries” that permanently hosts 15 art spaces, which share simultaneous openings and joint activities within a collaborative, self-managed, and federal initiative.

The dialogue between the editorial and artistic worlds, present in all of its exhibitions, has also resulted in its own publishing label, producing visual essays, critical thought, and artist books.

FAN at Pinta BAphoto

A panorama of the contemporary editorial world dedicated to the visual arts in general, and photography in particular, through the curation of different projects that intervene in the promotion and dissemination of graphic material (publishers, bookstores, art shops, galleries, festivals, fairs, and online platforms). Their catalogs include books, fanzines, magazines, as well as other publications of national and international editions, by both emerging and well-established artists, with industrial and artisanal production.

Participants: Acervo, EMC, Feria de Fotografía, Freezer, IDLB, Oficina de Proyectos, Potenza, and Simetría Doméstica.

Additionally, the space presents the exhibition “Images of the Unattainable”, featuring works by Adriana Bustos and Hernán Soriano.
