Pinta Panamá Art Week
For the second time, from March 18 to 22, 2026, Panama will host Pinta Panamá Art Week, consolidating its role as a key meeting point for contemporary art in Central America and its dialogue with other regions of the continent and the world.
In this edition, under the artistic direction of Irene Gelfman, Global Curator of Pinta, the conceptual framework focuses on Panama as a territory of connection: a site where artistic practices from Central America converge and where bridges are articulated between the north and south of the continent. Art from the region is presented as an interwoven network of diverse scenes, historical ties, and critical positions that shape the present.
This approach is reflected in the FORUM, featuring international guests from the United States, Europe, Central America, and South America in dialogue with local artists, curators, and thinkers, as well as in the curatorial agenda and the main exhibition at Ciudad de las Artes, which brings together artists from different latitudes alongside the Panamanian scene.
Over the course of five days, Pinta Panamá Art Week offers an intensive and public program that activates the city through exhibitions, tours, studio visits, and gastronomic, musical, and cultural experiences. A specially curated program that offers the opportunity to engage with local culture through art, recognizing Panama as a living space of exchange.
