Art Week 2022–2025 | 4 consecutive editions

Pinta Asunción Art Week took place over four consecutive editions (2022–2025), establishing itself as a key platform for contemporary art and culture in the city, and leaving a tangible mark on the local and regional scene.

During this period, the cultural program—curated by Irene Gelfman (Pinta Global Curator) and Adriana Almada (General Curator of the event)—activated a diverse agenda that included exhibitions, artist studio visits, tours of galleries and museums, and a FORUM featuring the participation of local and international specialists.

Across these four editions, more than 2,000 artists, 120 venues and galleries, and 150 global guests took part in the program, attracting over 10,000 visitors and 3,500 FORUM attendees.

Following this sustained cycle of work, Pinta Asunción Art Week completes a stage in the development of an active network of exchanges, connections, and experiences that continues to engage with Asunción’s artistic scene, while Pinta projects and expands its Art Weeks in other cities across Latin America.

Series curated and moderated by Irene Gelfman.

The FORUM of the latest edition of Pinta Asunción Art Week 2025 sought to bring together curators, cultural managers, artists, and key figures from the local and international scenes to engage in dialogue and collectively reflect on several issues that are fundamental in today’s art, such as community-based practices, curatorship as a political act, the current state of art in the region, the art–craft dichotomy, questions of authorship in art, and cultural management as a practice for the protection of heritage. The FORO took place at the CAF Integration House —Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean

In its fourth edition, Pinta Asunción Art Week consolidated a diverse network of cultural spaces, museums, galleries, independent venues, and artists’ studios, connecting the city’s contemporary pulse with its historical vitality. A key articulation that drives the core expressions of Paraguayan culture and strengthens Asunción’s artistic fabric.
