VESPER TZU

Ignacio Noguerol

Bio

Ignacio Noguerol is a contemporary coastal artist who translates the coastal imaginary into his pictorial language, blending it with his personal mythologies and using the coastline as a stage. He graduated from the Escuela de Artes Visuales Corriente Alterna in 2013 and attended workshops with masters Joel Meneses and José Luis Arbulú.
He combines his visual-art practice with music, through composition and production, as well as curatorial work, creating a feedback loop that enriches his interdisciplinary creative process.

Statement

Painting the landscape I inhabit is the most honest way I know to make art. Since the beginning of my work as an artist, I have dedicated myself to translating the coastal landscape into my pictorial language. From abstract and monumental works to smaller, more romantic paintings, I aim to share my experience as a viewer of the idyllic aspects of everyday life in my territory. In this territory—both geographic and pictorial—my individual mythologies also intertwine.
