Florencia Portocarrero (Lima, 1981)
Peruvian interdependent curator and co-director of Bisagra. She brings together writing, teaching, and the organization of exhibitions and public programs in her practice, working both within and beyond institutional frameworks.
Her research focuses on rewriting art history from feminist perspectives, questioning hegemonic forms of knowledge, and examining subjectivity within neoliberal contexts.
She participated in the Curatorial Programme at De Appel in Amsterdam and holds an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London. In Lima, she has worked with proyectoamil and the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI), and currently teaches at PUCP.
