Juan Canela
Spanish curator, he lives and works in Panama City. He is currently Chief Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Panama.
He recently curated the Next section at ArtBo Bogotá (2024), co-curated the 23rd Paiz Art Biennial in Guatemala (2023), and curated El Patio in Baja California (2023–2024). Previously, he served as Artistic Director of ZsONAMACO in Mexico City and Associate Curator at Matadero Madrid.
He co-founded and co-directed the BAR project residency program in Barcelona and has curated projects at institutions across Europe and Latin America. He has also developed curatorial programs, lectures, and publications in specialized media.
