Juan Cruz Andrada is an art historian from the University of Buenos Aires. He specializes in the art market and its processes of value construction. He is a tenured professor of the course Art, Market, and Collecting in the West at the University of San Andrés (UDESA) and of Art and the Market at the Torcuato Di Tella University. As an advisor to collectors, he is the co-founder of the platform Open Art History. He has taught courses and seminars on art history and its economic dimension at various institutions and museums. He was co-curator of the exhibition Transatlantic Modernisms, held at Mu.ZEE in Ostend, Belgium, in 2022. He is a member of the advisory board of the Centro de Arte y Fundación Víctor Magariños D.
