The collaboration between both institutions will promote cultural platforms, professional gatherings, and spaces for dialogue to support Latin American art and its international projection.
CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – and Fundación Pinta announced a strategic alliance aimed at strengthening the Latin American art ecosystem and fostering spaces for dialogue, professional exchange, and international visibility for artists, artisans, designers, and creators from Latin America and the Caribbean. This initiative seeks to serve as a platform for recognition, exchange, and regional cultural integration within the framework of the Regional Cultural Programming, Circulation, and Visibility Program, led by CAF’s General Secretariat and coordinated by its Culture and Sports department.
As part of this collaboration, CAF will serve as a strategic partner for several initiatives promoted by Pinta, including Pinta Panamá Art Week, whose second edition will take place from March 18 to 22 in Panama City. Over the course of five days, the event will bring together artists, curators, collectors, and cultural professionals in a program of exhibitions, guided tours, conversations, and cultural experiences across different venues in the city. The main exhibition will take place at Ciudad de las Artes.
“This alliance with Fundación Pinta reflects CAF’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen cultural ecosystems from a regional perspective. Pinta’s initiatives are key spaces for professional exchange and the creation of networks that help expand the visibility and sustainability of Latin American art,” said Alejandra Claros Borda, Secretary General of CAF.
For his part, Diego Costa Peuser, Global Director of Pinta, noted that “this alliance with CAF confirms that culture is a strategic pillar of development and a key space for regional dialogue.”
In addition to financial support, the collaboration will include participation in cultural platforms and dialogue spaces addressing the role of art in development, cultural diplomacy, and the strengthening of creative industries.
