As part of the Acquisition Program, on Thursday, October 16, the Museo Moderno de Buenos Aires, with the support of the Friends of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires Association and Pinta BAphoto, added two works by Marina Alessio —Humo sobre tela and Fantasma— to its collection. These pieces were presented by CasaProyecto Gallery in the RADAR section.
About the artist
Marina Alessio (Buenos Aires, 1980) is a poet, visual artist, and gallerist. She has studied photography and film, contributed to various poetry anthologies, curated exhibitions, and published six books. She is co-founder of the contemporary gallery Mite and has developed projects such as the bookstore Purr Libros and the publishing house SMD.
Additionally, the Moderno acquired the work Alejandro Kuropatwa from the Mujer 2001 series — color photography, vintage print.
