Manuel Segade
Art historian and curator, based in Madrid, Spain. Director of the Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) of the Community of Madrid since 2016, a position obtained through a public competition. Holds a degree in Art History from the University of Santiago de Compostela and completed a predoctoral residency at the University of Leeds with Griselda Pollock. Between 2007 and 2009, served as Chief Curator of the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo (CGAC). As an independent curator, has developed more than 60 projects in contemporary and modern art, including the Spanish Pavilion by Jordi Colomer at the 2017 Venice Biennale. His practice combines research, writing, public programs, and teaching in international contexts.
