María Lucía Alemán
Cultural manager and executive director, based in Panama City, Panama. Holds a master’s degree in International Economic Policy and completed studies at the University of Virginia, the Museo de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Art Students League of New York, and the Art Institute of Chicago. Has been affiliated with the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Panamá since 2015 and has served as its Executive Director since 2020. Under her leadership, she strengthened the Collection, established the Acquisitions Committee, and reactivated editorial programs and the Graphic Arts Laboratory. In 2018, she founded the Art Program at Creativa Coffee District and curated international artist residencies. She is a member of the International Women Forum and the International Committee of Museums and Collections of Modern Art (CIMAM).
