Rafael Tamayo
Museum director and cultural manager, based in Medellín, Colombia. Currently serves as Director of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín (MAMM) and was Manager of the 2025 Biennial of Art of Antioquia and Medellín. Previously served as Director of the Bogotá Public Library Network, Director of the Museo de Memoria de Colombia, and Head of International Relations at the Ministry of Culture of Colombia. Has worked as a consultant for UNESCO in Latin America and as a professor and researcher in the social sciences and humanities for more than 15 years. Holds a PhD in History from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, a Master’s degree in International Law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and a Law degree from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.
