Alejandro Rauhut

Bio

Alejandro Rauhut (Bogotá, 1981) lives and works in his hometown. His artistic practice is characterized by constant experimentation with light, space, and perception. He has an extensive international career, having participated in renowned art fairs such as ARTBO (Colombia), Context Miami, Affordable Art Fair (New York), and West Palm Beach Contemporary (USA). Notable solo exhibitions include "Mira II" at Galería La Cometa (Bogotá) and "ARTE FACTOS" at the Joseph Turenne Galerie (Paris). His work has been exhibited across major contemporary art platforms in the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, establishing him as a compelling voice in the exploration of both physical and digital media.

Statement

Alejandro Rauhut's work is articulated through a constant search for the self, the divine, and processes of inner exploration. Although his visual languages may appear diverse, they maintain a deep, underlying coherence: his pieces are not merely illustrated themes, but experiences that unfold in space and time. Through physical, digital, and interactive installations, Rauhut constructs situations that invite the viewer to pause and question their own relationship with existence. The use of light, shadow, reflection, and materials such as mirrors, glass, and acrylic do not function as mere effects, but as structural tools to activate the environment and transform observation into a direct and silent connection.
