Statement

Verónica García’s work explores painting as a sensory and cognitive experience where poetry, thought, and matter intertwine. With clay as a central axis since the nineties, her practice is a constant experimentation with how elements behave in nature and the studio. Based in Salta, the artist chooses its light and dust not only as a home but as the very substance of her pieces, evolving toward an abstract synthesis. Through mineral pigments and clays, García acts as an archaeologist of silences, capturing the traces of the invisible to transform the landscape into a sensitive body and a memory of affection.
