Bio

TEC Born in Córdoba, Argentina, 1975. Lives and works in Brazil and Argentina.
The combination of supports and techniques is the tone of the work of the artist
from Córdoba (Argentina), who makes the street his source of aesthetic
inspiration. Tec explores the ambiguity of public and private spaces in art, using
various methods: performative intervention, site-specific installation and action
filming. The artist innovated and expanded the urban art scene with his giant
drawings painted on the asphalt of the slopes of São Paulo, making use of
perspective from a distance. Using the ground as a support for his graffiti, he
incorporated the drone as a tool for his production. Series of video drones were
created from figures specially designed for this technique. Tec unites the speed of
action painting with the formal rigor of superimposed layers. His strokes and use of
color are based on established knowledge and the appearance of things to
establish a new interpretation of reality through the creative act. His works impact
and reaffirm his relationship with the city, expressed in an intense social dialogue.
n his entire production there is a notable identification with the children's poetic
universe, whether in the graphics, the images or the colors. Known internationally
with the exhibition “De Inside e De Fora”, held in 2011 at the São Paulo Museum of
Art (Masp), Tec exhibited his work in the streets and institutions of large cities,
such as New York, Washington, Barcelona, Berlin, Cologne and Vienna. In 2021
he restored the large mural of him in Minhocão. In the year (2022), Tec
inaugurated a solo exhibition at the MAB-Faap museum, in São Paulo. The
exhibition is an unprecedented balance of the artist's career, which led to works
that go beyond the traditional technique – on canvas, with acrylic paint – and stand
out on other surfaces, such as murals, photographs, installation, site-specific and
video. His works portray much of what Tec sees in São Paulo, the city where he
has lived for more than 10 years. The exhibition placed Education as an
articulating element of the individual, with internal and external activations, with
public school students (EMEI) and FAAP students. COLECCIONES PÚBLICAS Y

Statement

Tec Fase is an Argentinian visual artist born in Córdoba and based in São Paulo, Brazil, for over a decade. His practice moves between public spaces and the studio, exploring the relationships between the city, the body, and territory. A self-taught artist, he transformed his difficulty with figurative drawing into a distinctive visual language, marked by spontaneous gestures and lines that reveal both strength and vulnerability.
His main influences include Joan Miró, for his simplicity and synthesis, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, for his raw energy and expressive freedom. Years of creating in urban spaces made themes such as absurdity, inequality, and social contradictions central to his work.
Tec works across craft and digital tools to narrate what he observes in his daily life, from schools to bars, from city centers to its margins. His art stands as a visual testimony to the wisdom and struggles of those who inhabit the edges of the city.
