Carolina Noguera
Bio
Carolina Noguera is a Paraguayan ceramist from Tobatí, heir to a centuries-old family tradition. Daughter of Mercedes Noguera, she forms an artistic dynasty with her sisters. She specializes in black ceramic angels using ancestral smoking techniques. Extracting local materials, she works in home workshops creating pieces up to 60cm tall. With international recognition, she participates in exhibitions and UNESCO workshops, preserving ceramic tradition while supporting her family through this millenary art.
Statement
The work is more than just ceramic pieces; They are witnesses of the intimate connection between the land, tradition and artistic expression itself. In each piece, the smoke leaves its mark, and in each exchange, a piece of Tobatí's rich history is shared. This work is a tribute to the opportunities of clay and a celebration of the beauty that emerges when tradition and innovation are intertwined with the hands of a passionate artist.
