Eliseo Miciu
Bio
Born in Uruguay, Eliseo Miciu grew up in the hills of Córdoba, surrounded by the brushes of his grandfather, Konstantino, and the spatulas of his father, Georg.
At the age of 13, captivated by the colors and landscapes of Patagonia, he turned to photography as a way to capture life. He worked for more than 10 years for national and international companies in press and advertising photography. In 2007, he published his first book, Salta, Northern Argentina. National Geographic commissioned Eliseo Miciu as the exclusive photographer for National Geographic Traveler Argentina. He later decided to dedicate himself entirely to fine art photography, following a more personal path.
He received the International Panorámica de Plata Award in 2011 and 2012. The Leurzer Archive selected three of Eliseo’s works for the book 200 Best Photos of the World in 2009 and 2010. Together with his brother Isaías, he created the book SMA Aldea de Montaña, and in 2015 he published Polvaredal with Marcos Furer.
Since then, he has held more than 30 exhibitions in Argentina, Uruguay, the United States, and France. After many years living in Patagonia, he moved to Catamarca to pursue new artistic explorations.
He regularly exhibits with Espacio Pinasco in Buenos Aires.
