Merian & de Bingen Art Gallery grows from two women who, five centuries apart, wedded the contemplation of nature and the completion of their work in a single gesture.
Maria Sibylla Merian bred knowledge by drawing. Hildegard of Bingen divined by singing. The gallery summons them as a method: sharp observation, unmoored making.
