Male Ayerza
Bio
Male Ayerza (1979) borned in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She studied Psychology at Universidad del Salvador (USAL) and completed her training in Angela Copello's photography workshop, as well as in the editing and post-production workshop led by photographer Bea Blousson (Photoshop and Lightroom), from 2021 to the present.
Her work explores the frontier where wild nature and human sensitivity meet, revealing that the movement of the body and the force of the animal respond to the same instinctive impulse.
She is deeply interested in the connection with nature, capturing those fleeting instants that are glimpses of something that transcends us, so that they might become eternal. It is a search for the mystical, for the memory of origin.
Her work has been presented in national exhibitions, including the Rómulo Raggio Museum, the UBA School of Law, Acción Fotográfica (Virtual Exhibition), La Noche de los Museos, and the Centro Cultural Armenio.
She lives and works in Buenos Aires.
Statement
My work "Memorias del viento" ("Memories of the Wind") explores the invisible weave where childhood memories, the body in motion, and nature in its purest state converge. My work moves through the wind as a dynamic whisper that carries origins, awakens memories of the past, and enters into an intimate dialogue with the body. In this inward search toward my own identity, I capture the tension and flow of organic movement, revealing a return to the essential and offering a deep look into that which constitutes and transcends us.
"At the center of the night, the small barefoot queen contemplates her kingdom in silence; she knows that her crown is not made of gold, but of the memory of the wind and of the light that dares to look at its own shadow."— Alejandra Pizarnik
