Statement
My artistic practice encompasses a range of disciplines, including digital animation, painting, ceramics and photography. I explore notions of time, reality and fiction, focusing on painting, the archive and the moving image. My research engages with processes of appropriation, simulacrum and fictional construction, treating the archive and history as working materials. My works create temporal shifts, parallel realities and hybrid narratives, occupying a space between different forms and languages. Within them, painting can become film or monument, while history is transformed into visual and narrative material. Film fragments, art-historical references, animation and elements from video games are brought together to construct new narratives.
