Statement
I conceive of photography as a process of construction over time. My work emerges from a prolonged relationship with certain urban spaces. I find a place that draws my attention and return to it until it reveals a latent structure. Only then do I introduce characters and compose carefully staged situations. Post-production functions as a form of montage, where I rearrange fragments, combine different moments in time, and shape spaces that do not exist as such. I seek to resist the immediacy associated with photography and create images that demand a slower gaze.
