ATLAS presents a proposal at Pinta BAphoto 2026 that brings together a bookstore and an exhibition space. The bookstore features a selection of international and Argentine photography books available at ATLAS. The exhibition section presents works and special editorial editions by Henrik Malmström, Alejandro Cartagena, Ediciones Réplica, Celeste Rojas Mugica, Maximiliano Magnano, and Ricardo Jiménez, alongside Imagen impresa by Francisco Medail, the first book published by ATLAS.
ATLAS is a bookstore and gallery specializing in photography, image, and design, directed by Martín Bollati and located in the La Paternal neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Since opening in August 2025, it has developed a project that connects exhibition-making, publishing, and the circulation of images through an exhibition program, book presentations, and encounters with artists and publishers.
For Pinta BAphoto 2026, ATLAS presents two complementary sections. The Bookstore section brings together a selection from its catalogue of publications on photography, image, and design, featuring independent publishers from Europe, Latin America, and Argentina, including Nobody Books (UK), Loose Joints (FR), MACK Books (UK), Outer Space Press (GE), FW Books (NE), Pseudo Editions (FI), KWY (PE), Lovely House (BR), Buen Lugar (CH), Selo Turvo (BR), Metaninfa, La Balsa, Asunción, and SED Editorial.
The exhibition section brings together works and special editions by artists who have exhibited at the gallery: Henrik Malmström (FI), Alejandro Cartagena (MX), Ediciones Réplica (CO), Celeste Rojas Mugica (CH), Maximiliano Magnano (AR), and Ricardo Jiménez (VZ), alongside a space dedicated to Imagen Impresa by Francisco Medail, the first book published by ATLAS.
The proposal reflects an approach to photography that understands the book, the artwork, and their modes of circulation as complementary territories for production and critical thought.

Martín Bollati
Buenos Aires, 1986. Visual artist, editor, and educator. Founder and director of SED editorial and ATLAS. He leads the workshops Gesto editorial and Jugar contra la máquina. His work explores the relationship between photography and fiction, with a particular interest in the discursive possibilities that emerge at the margins of the photographic apparatus and its structure.
His published books include A Kind of Loop (Riot Books), La forma bruta (University of Cádiz), Vacant Dream State (280a), Para describir una flor (Raya Editorial), and Ruinas sin título, Aguas vivas, Texto Nazi, and Hermes/Unesco (SED editorial).
He has presented solo exhibitions at the 3rd Beijing Photo Biennial in China; Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Galería Cero in Madrid, Spain; and Galería Hydra in Mexico City, among others.
In 2014, he was awarded the XI Roberto Villagraz Scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in Conceptual Photography at EFTI. In 2017, his work as an editor received the Best Latin American Photobook Award at the Latin American Photography Colloquia in Mexico. In 2018, together with the collective 280a, he won the Art Trail Tesla Award at the Unseen Festival in Amsterdam. That same year, he was featured in the Ones to Watch issue of the British Journal of Photography.
