La Chola Poblete (Guaymallén, Mendoza, 1989) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses performance, photo-performance, video art, photography, painting, drawing, and object-based work. She studied Visual Arts at the National University of Cuyo.
Her work reclaims her Indigenous ancestry, emphasizing the importance of ancestral knowledge in South American territories and the need to challenge colonial practices of gender and racial discrimination in Argentina. Through her work, she denounces the mistreatment of brown communities and sexual dissidents, as well as the stereotyping and exoticization of Indigenous peoples. She also champions non-hegemonic forms of beauty and corporeality that challenge culturally constructed standards.
