Proyecto CALLE

Proyecto CALLE is a photography project that aims to give people living in vulnerable circumstances—often leading to homelessness—the opportunity to express themselves and share their realities with the wider community through images taken with disposable cameras or mobile devices.

Over the past 21 years, more than 350 people who have experienced homelessness have photographed the city using disposable cameras. These are photographs of Buenos Aires, but for the photographers, they are more than images of their city: they are portraits of their home. Through this personal perspective, the photographers show us where they live and open the doors to a unique city.

This year, the exhibition will feature not only the work produced by CALLE BA, but also the progress of photography workshops being developed in other cities, including Porto Alegre, Montevideo, São Paulo, and New York.
