Pinta Foundation and Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) Acquisition Fund

Within the framework of Pinta Lima, the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) was invited by the Pinta Foundation—the organization’s social arm—to carry out a curatorial selection of works presented at the fair that engage with and complement its collection.

Through the Foundation’s Acquisition Fund, a financial contribution is granted and matched by MALI, resulting in a model that brings together curatorial vision and shared financial responsibility. This alliance reaffirms a shared commitment to strengthening public heritage and expanding the presence of Latin American contemporary art in leading institutions.

The Pinta Acquisition Fund is an initiative of the Pinta Foundation aimed at consolidating contemporary art collections in the region through strategic acquisitions that enrich institutional holdings and expand the visibility of Latin American artists internationally.

“We believe in a model of collaboration that goes beyond the fair and leaves a tangible mark on public collections. Supporting MALI in this process means investing in the strengthening of Latin American art and in the sustained projection of our artists,” said Diego Costa Peuser, President of the Pinta Foundation.

This initiative not only strengthens MALI’s institutional holdings, but also projects artists beyond the fair context, integrating their practices into a public collection and reinforcing the Latin American art ecosystem from a sustainable, collaborative, and long-term perspective.
