Christian Bendayan
Amazonian visual artist and curator, based in Iquitos, Peru. His practice has contributed to strengthening the presence of Amazonian aesthetics and values within contemporary Peruvian culture.
He has represented Peru in international biennials and exhibitions, including the National Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale (2019). He has received the National Culture Prize awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Peru.
Since 2015, he has directed Bufeo Amazonía + Arte, an organization dedicated to the research, promotion, and dissemination of Peruvian Amazonian art.
