Multidisciplinary artist
Cristina Flores Pescorán
Peruvian multidisciplinary artist. Her practice proposes a dialogue between the body, medical experiences, family memory, and feminism.
Drawing from her own experience of illness and recovery, she works across different media in dialogue with pre-Hispanic textile and dyeing techniques, incorporating medicinal plants and organic materials. Her work references the Chancay culture, engaging with symbolic dimensions of healing and protection.
Her practice reflects on illness, death, healing, nutrition, and the connections between the body, pleasure, and spirituality in contemporary society.
