Jorge Villacorta
Curator, critic, and researcher, based in Lima, Peru. His practice focuses on research, writing, and curating, with a particular emphasis on art history and visual culture in Latin America.
He has developed curatorial projects across Latin America, Europe, and the United States, and has made significant contributions to critical discourse on photography and contemporary Peruvian art. He was co-curator of the Peruvian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2019), together with Gustavo Buntinx.
His recent work continues to engage research and curatorial practice around archives, modernity, and visual culture.
