Head of the Visual Arts Department at the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program.

Argentine curator with a background in cultural studies, Melanie Roumiguière develops a practice focused on creating spaces for possible histories, engaging with archives, institutions, and artistic languages from transcontinental feminist perspectives.

She currently leads the Visual Arts Department of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program, where she has curated exhibitions with artists such as Iman Issa, Renée Green, Malgorzata Mirga-Tas, and Patricia Belli. Previously, as a curator at Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin, she contributed to the large-scale project Hello World. Revision of a Collection and developed solo exhibitions.

She serves as an advisor on international projects, juries, and committees, and has edited monographs on artists including Minerva Cuevas, Gülsün Karamustafa, and Mariana Castillo Deball.
