Pily Estrada Lecaro

Cultural manager, curator, and art historian, based in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She has led key cultural institutions in the country, including the Centro Cultural Metropolitano de Quito, the Museo Municipal de Guayaquil, and spaces at the Universidad de las Artes del Ecuador.

Her curatorial and institutional practice focuses on Latin American contemporary art, combining research, management, and exhibition-making. She has developed curatorial projects in Ecuador and internationally, and has held public roles in cultural management, including at the Embassy of Ecuador in France and as an advisor to the Ministry of Culture and Heritage.

She is the author of 1980–2020 Contemporary Art in Ecuador (2025).
