Porous Systems brings together artistic practices that operate through permeability and process rather than fixed positions. The section focuses on artworks that absorb and transform their surroundings, moving across material, emotional, ecological, and technological registers. Here, boundaries are understood as sites of contact: between bodies and environments, the organic and the synthetic, intuition and structure.
In continuity with RADAR’s experimental mandate at Pinta Lima, the section proposes projects by galleries working with artists whose practices privilege open systems in constant negotiation with their context. Porous Systems invites galleries to present projects that are process-driven, works that do not seek to explain the present, but to stay with its complexity and imagine other ways of sensing and/or organizing it.
