Institutional Acquisition

Work by Ana Teresa Barboza acquired by Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson

Pinta Miami is honored to announce the institutional acquisition of an exceptional textile work by Ana Teresa Barboza (Lima, 1981), presented by Espacio Líquido: The work has been acquired by Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson (FMCMP) to become part of its collection and will be exhibited in Spain.

Curated by Irene Gelfman. Barboza’s practice intertwines textile traditions, landscape observation, and community knowledge. Her materials—cotton, wool, stones, reeds—evoke ancient Peruvian textile languages, reflecting ecological histories and the collective memory of the communities she works with. Her tapestries embrace transformation and the unfinished, mirroring nature’s own evolving processes.
