Statement

In the work of Carlos Cruz-Diez (1923-2019), color becomes an autonomous phenomenon in perceptual transformation. His kinetic research extends beyond visual play to a perceptual experience in which color acts as an active agent of the work. Through series such as Physichromies and Induction Chromatique, Cruz-Diez creates environments where the viewer´s perception is both medium and message, dissolving boundaries between object, light, and gaze.
