Kojiro Takakuwa
Bio
Kojiro Takakuwa realizó sus estudios de arte en la Escuela de Arte y Diseño de la Universidad de Tsukuba. Obtuvo en 2006, el reconocimiento del jurado en el Shell Art Awards. Al año siguiente se trasladó a Panamá. Tras varias colaboraciones en subastas y exhibiciones colectivas e individuales, recibió el primer premio de pintura en el Concurso de Artes Visuales Roberto Lewis en 2012. Luego, en el 2014, mostró su primera exhibición individual en Mateo Sariel Galería, la cual retoma este año para mostrar en PINTA Panamá.
Statement
Kojiro Takakuwa studied art at the School of Art and Design at the University of Tsukuba. In 2006, he received jury recognition at the Shell Art Awards. The following year, he moved to Panama. After several collaborations in auctions and group and solo exhibitions, he received first prize for painting at the Roberto Lewis Visual Arts Competition in 2012. Then, in 2014, he held his first solo exhibition at Mateo Sariel Galería and is showing a new version of that exhibition for his solo show at PINTA Panamá.
