The collaboration between the two institutions will promote cultural platforms, professional networking events and opportunities for dialogue to promote Latin American art and raise its international profile.
CAF – the development bank for Latin America and the Caribbean – and the Pinta Foundation have announced a strategic partnership to strengthen the Latin American art ecosystem and promote opportunities for dialogue, professional exchange and international exposure for artists, designers and creators from Latin America and the Caribbean, serving as a platform for recognition, exchange and regional cultural integration, within the framework of the Regional Cultural Programming, Circulation and Visibility Programme, led by the General Secretariat and coordinated by CAF’s Culture and Sport Department.
As part of this collaboration, CAF will be a strategic partner in various initiatives led by Pinta, including Pinta Panama Art Week, the second edition of which will take place from 18 to 22 March in Panama City. Over the course of five days, the event will bring together artists, curators, collectors and cultural practitioners for a programme of exhibitions, tours, talks and cultural experiences across various venues in the city. The main exhibition will take place at Ciudad de las Artes.
“This partnership with Fundación Pinta reflects CAF’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen cultural ecosystems from a regional perspective. Pinta’s initiatives provide key platforms for professional exchange and networking, which help to raise the profile and ensure the sustainability of Latin American art,” said Alejandra Claros Borda, CAF’s Secretary General.
Diego Costa Peuser, Global Director of Pinta, emphasised that “this partnership with CAF confirms that culture is a strategic pillar of development and a key forum for regional dialogue”.
In addition to financial support, the partnership includes collaboration on cultural platforms and spaces for dialogue on the role of art in development, cultural diplomacy and the strengthening of the creative industries. In 2026, the Pinta network of events will include gatherings in cities such as Panama City, Lima, Buenos Aires, Santo Domingo and Miami:
Pinta Panamá Art Week: March 18–22
Pinta Lima: April 22–26
Pinta BAphoto: October 22–25
