Roxana Ramos
Bio
Roxana Ramos nació en Cafayate y vive en Salta. Es Artista visual; Licenciada y Profesora de Artes plásticas (UNT); Posgraduada en Gestión Cultural (UNC Córdoba, Arg) y Doctoranda en Humanidades con orientación en Artes (UNT). Al presente trabaja como artista, docente y gestora del arte. En 2022 y 2021 cursó el Programa para artistas de la Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Arg). En 2019 Recibió la beca a la Creación del FNA y la Beca Montesori de la Universidad de Salamanca, España. Fue becaria de Fundación Antorchas, Trama y Riej Academie, FNA (formación), Fondo ciudadano de Cultura Salta y Embajada de España. Se ha formado con múltiples artistas y pensadores. Participó de exposiciones nacionales e internacionales curadas por Marina de Caro, Adriana Almada, Javier Villa (Mamba) Rodrigo Alonso entre otros. Desarrolla su obra mediante prácticas transdisciplinares y producciones artísticas colectivas de exploración social. Su obra forma parte de colecciones privadas y de museos argentinos.
Statement
As a visual artist, I flow between art with others, bodily actions, the voice and the landscape.
I have decided to articulate my work from other people's poetic practices; resume and deconstruct the trades and chores of those who suggest me, as well as produce in community to exercise the collective creative success, far from the authorship and the occurrence.
I have wanted to work with love, but above all with women; I have assumed the restlessness to activate works that will never be finished, to open synesthetic dialogues between the sound of the landscape and the image that shapes it, between touch and smell, between the listen and the setting of the body.
All of this becomes installations, performative actions, situated drawings, interventions in the landscape, photography, video, sounds and writing.
I am interested in thinking of art as something more than a set of works, as a doing vehement and committed, with the full conviction of his wide capacity discursive, collective and political: an act of proposal without the intention of transformation.

Fotografía que registra acciones realizadas en cercanías del Volcán Licancabur (que se visualiza de fondo). Siguiendo las líneas conceptuales generales del trabajo en
residencia, la artista indaga sobre acciones del trabajo en el campo, con herramientas agrarias tales como una pala y un rastrillo.
Ha levantado parte del suelo arcilloso y pedregoso. En un momento, la arena expulsada en el aire por el movimiento del cuerpo y la pala coincide con el orificio del volcán, ejercitando
así una metáfora de la erupción: atravesamientos mitológicos, políticos y ambientales.
