Proyecto Tijuana 2019

In its fifth edition, the Tijuana publishing fair is the space articulated together with the renowned Brazilian printed art fair, in order to stimulate photographic production in book format. The space promotes the research of printed art in its different variables and places, with the aim of strengthening the production, exchange and dissemination of the book format throughout the region curated by Ana Luiza Pinheiro Fonseca.

Ana Luiza Fonseca 
She studied Fine Arts at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado until 2008, coordinated the space and editorial projects of Tijuana from 2008 to 2015. She is currently a resident curator at the Library | Center for Documentation and Research of the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage. She also continues with the Tijuana Art Fair of Impresa, a project she envisioned in 2009 at Galeria Vermelho. As an independent curator, she presented the exhibition "Além da Biblioteca" at Museu Lasar Segall (2011) and two international editions in 2012, one in collaboration with the Brazilian Embassy in Tokyo and another at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Her main areas of interest include the debate on the edition and publication of artist's books in contemporary art, as well as the research of independent publishers in Latin America.

     

Magui-Testoni

    

Magui Testoni (Tandil, 1989).

She has a degree in Literature from the University of Buenos Aires and is heavily involved in the world of artists’ book as an editor, artist and cultural manager. Between 2015 and 2018 she was the coordinator of artistic projects in the Editorial Instantes Gráficos. She worked in cultural centers in the city of Buenos Aires as a programmer and curator of exhibitions, and three years ago she carried out an active literature cycle: El Verbo.
Since 2018, she coordinates the Paraguay Fair of Printed Art in Buenos Aires and develops the publishing house Cuestion. At the same time, she works as an assistant to the Isla Flootante gallery. Her main areas of interest include feminism, editorial creation and the strengthening of self-management.
