Bio
Moreno Hoffmann obtained a BA and a Diploma for Advanced Studies within the Doctorate Program Painting in the Digital Age: Affinity and Specificity from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona. His artistic career includes participation in international art fairs such as ZONA MACO (2020), ARTBO and Pinta Miami (2019). He was included in the book COLOMBIA ARTE ACTUAL 31 Artistas Contemporáneos, (AAL) and he also developed his solo exhibition Espacio at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogotá - MAC.
Statement
The research of the artist Andrés Moreno Hoffmann proposes a plastic reflection, which confronts multiple spatial dimensions in a two-dimensional plane. In a tridimensional world, the proposal describes more dimensions than we are able to observe. The artist is inspired by the superstring theory, which states that there are ten, eleven, or twenty-six dimensions, where thin strings vibrate, impossible to distinguish due to their microscopic sizes.
