Bio

Argentinian of Swedish origin was born in 1917. Studied at the Pueyrredón National School of Fine Arts and at the Ernesto de la Cárcova National School in Buenos Aires. Her teachers were Pio Collivadino, Vicente Puig, among others. Frequented workshops, such as: Pettoruti, André Lhote in Paris and Batlle Planas. Sotheby’s and Christie’s have sold her works internationally and you cand find them in imporant collections such as the Deutsche Bank. Her first exhibition was on the year 2000 at 83 years old.

Statement

Art and everyday activities are intertwined in inseparable ways throughout a life. Drawing and painting are languages that connect Ides to life in a poetic way. They form her spiritual backbone, and her ascetic lifestyle flows in function with art and the involvements it demands. Her work reflects her gaze and heart of eternal youth. following an outstanding abstract line. Her festive and playful soul, her link with music and the airspace synthesize her work.
