Statement
Each of these Reciprocal Systems functions as two separate fragments that make up a complete whole and, simultaneously, as in a process of mitosis where the whole is divided into two equal and interdependent parts, pointing to a notion of change versus continuity, and expressing ideas of mutual action and correlation. The subtle changes in the repeated shapes are like moments captured in time, creating a dynamic tension between the illusion of depth and the flat surface of the canvas.
