Gerardo Mosquera
Advisor to several international institutions and journals, including the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. He has published books and essays in numerous countries and languages; his latest: Beyond the Fantastic. Contemporary Art Criticism in Latin America, University of Granada, 2023. He was a co-founder of the Havana Biennial, Curator of the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, and Artistic Director of PhotoEspaña, Madrid. He has curated numerous biennials and international exhibitions around the world. His most recent exhibitions include Hot Spot. Caring for a Burning World (2022), Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Rome, and Guangzhou Image Triennial 2021.
