Flor Aprile
Bio
Flor Aprile is an Argentine photographer, visual artist, and creative producer. After more than two decades away from artistic practice, she returned to photography in 2025, incorporating audiovisual work into her creative process.
She studied at the José Luis Raota Institute and attended workshops with Adriana Lestido and Leandro Mussi. She took part in artistic residencies in Boyacá, Colombia, and the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador. In 2026, she completed a masterclass with Cristina de Middel in Madrid.
Since 2025, she has been developing Lo nítido miente, a photographic and audiovisual project created across Latin America, exploring perception, memory, childhood, women, territory, and nature. In 2026, she presented her first short film at the Biarritz Photo Festival and exhibits at Galerie Joseph in Le Marais, Paris. She participates in Pinta BAphoto 2026. The project will continue in 2027 in Atacama and the Amazon.
Statement
My creative process consists of crossing physical and invisible boundaries in order to become part of the territory. I do not approach it from the outside to document it; I allow myself to be transformed by it. Photography emerges as an experience of listening, in which the landscape, children, women, and nature engage in dialogue within the same frame.
I believe there are magical territories that invite us to pause and pay attention. The same attention that the earth deserves is also deserved by our children and our women. Not from the perspective of victims of a system, but through the recognition of their strength, sensitivity, and the essential role they play in shaping the future.
My photographic language is poetic and narrative. It moves between the documentary and the abstract, allowing intuition, error, light, and time to construct new ways of seeing. Each image offers an experience rather than an explanation; a space where the visible coexists with the invisible.
Lo nítido miente does not seek to offer answers. It is an invitation to look differently, to inhabit the mystery of the territory, and to recognize that, many times, what appears most clear is also what prevents us most from seeing.
