Jorge Eduardo Eielson (Lima, 1924 - Milan, 2006) was a multifaceted Peruvian artist, pillar of the "Generation of 50" and key figure of contemporary art, distinguished by fusing poetry, painting, sculpture, performance and installations. Internationally recognized for his "Quipus", he reinterpreted the Andean heritage with a vanguard vision after living most of his life in Europe.
