Statement

Matías Duville (Buenos Aires, 1974) works mainly through drawing, creating desolate, timeless scenes like mental landscapes on the verge of cataclysm. His work is marked by experimentation with materials and supports, and by expressive strokes that leave traces where matter and landscape blend. He explores tension, mutation, and time. His work is included in collections such as MoMA, Tate, Reina Sofía, MOLAA, Guggenheim, MALI, Malba, and MACRO. He lives between Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata.
