Bio
Cecilia Ordóñez París (Pamplona, 1949) is a Colombian ceramic artist whose life has been deeply connected to clay and fire. A disciple of Beatriz Daza, with undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she devoted 28 years to teaching at the School of Arts of the National University of Colombia, where she promoted the ceramics program. With more than five decades of experience, her work bridges tradition and contemporaneity, reflecting a unique sensitivity to nature and material processes. A member of the International Academy of Ceramics, she has exhibited in museums in Colombia and abroad. In 2022, the Art Museum of the Banco de la República incorporated her work Montaña Blanca into its collection. Represented by Salón Comunal, she has participated in solo and group exhibitions and in art fairs such as ARTBO, CHACO, ARTEBA, ARCO, and PINTA LIMA. In 2025, her first monographic book, Sembrar la cerámica, was published.

Her work reveals a deep respect for manual processes and materiality, sustaining an ongoing investigation into territory, the body, and the landscape.
