Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Panama Canal Museum President of ICOM Panama. Ana Elizabeth González, a curator, cultural manager, and trained archaeologist, has been a key figure in the revitalization of the Panama Canal Museum, positioning it as a dynamic space for exhibitions, critical thought, and contemporary artistic production. She has promoted collaborations with national and international artists, developed the FARO residency program, and recently co-curated Panama’s first pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2024). Her practice bridges historical research and contemporary art, proposing narratives that explore migration, memory, territory, and sustainability from an ethical and regional perspective. González also leads initiatives to strengthen Panama’s museum and arts ecosystem, connecting the local scene with global platforms.
