Meli Amado

Bio

Born in Panama in 1972, Meli Amado began her artistic journey at an early age. Her first steps in painting were guided by her father, who passed on a fundamental sensitivity for color. Her work is distinguished by an intrinsic connection with nature, especially through the figure of the tree as the central axis of her visual narrative.
In 2010, Meli transitioned from her professional career to focus on her family and consolidate her artistic practice. This stage granted her the freedom to deepen her
technique and style, allowing her to develop a fresh, mature, and reflective creative vision.
Since then, she has actively participated in various collective exhibitions, consolidating her career in 2025 with her first solo exhibition titled Jardín de las Simetrías, (Garden of Symmetries). Through her work, she connects with the viewer through an artistic universe that celebrates the richness of the natural world, balance, and the depth of
what remains hidden from plain sight.

Statement

Nature is my teacher; in its patterns and rhythms, I find the order I seek to portray. Through acrylics, I represent trees using rounded geometric shapes, removing sharp edges to evoke peace. I apply multiple layers of paint to ensure the color is pure and solid, creating a bridge between the natural world and our inner self. My work celebrates
the symmetry and balance between what we see and the unseen. I use a vibrant palette that flows with the vitality of the environment. It is an invitation to find stillness
within a visual architecture that is, at once, solid, balanced, and an echo of the beauty that dwells in each of us.
