Paola Baertl
Bio
Artista peruana egresada de la Facultad de Arte de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú con especialidad en Pintura (1994-1999) y talleres libres en el Pont Aven School of Art en Francia. Inicio su práctica en cerámica en el 2011 para luego hacer una especialización en el Taller Escuela Sonia Céspedes Rossel.
Tiene tres muestras individuales Germinar (2007) Infinita Trama (2013) y Por Dentro (2017).Su trabajo ha sido expuesto en USA, Francia, Panamá, Irán, Turquía, Tailandia y en China en el Museo de arte Moderno de Yixing y en el Museo LiZiyuan como parte de dos importantes simposios internacionales de cerámica.
Fue seleccionada para la XIV Bienal Internacional de Cerámica Artística de Aveiro en Portugal.
Participó en publicaciones como Revista Art Motiv, Arte al Límite - 40 Artistas Peruanos, Ojo Andino Perú - Peruvian Contemporary Artists ,Núcleo Arte Visual Contemporáneo y la revista Art Nobel Inspiration Review of Contemporary Art.
Statement
Paola Baertl is a multidisciplinary artist who explores and investigates concepts related to the universe of ceramics and painting, two manifestations that are closely related in her work. The creator in her pictorial work resorts to codes, aesthetics and criteria that allow us to appreciate works with results in which her feelings, memories and aspects related to her intimacy are found. They are scenarios in which optical, visual, sensory illusions are created due to their abstract forms, and in which color also fulfills its function as a necessary quality for the dramaturgy of the composition.
