Bio
1967, Tucumán, Argentina. He currently resides and works in Buenos Aires. Studies of architecture at the National University of Tucumán. Degree in Communication, University of Salvador. Graphic Design Career. Teacher of the Graphic Design Career at the UBA. Currently, from Simplestudio: design, he develops institutional, multimedia and editorial identity works for cultural entities, museums, art galleries and companies. Statement
The urban environment is the most effective source of inspiration. Sobrino cuts out the areas that his interest points out, accentuates and develops, appropriates and redefines, delves into the conformation of symbols, signs and signals, questions them and highlights their enormous symbolic power. The economy of resources, the use of industrial materials and the non-manipulated color give a greater degree of synthesis and freedom to its principles of constructive organization.
The color plane is almost an accident, a pretext that the line needs to carry out the form, the geometric form, of vernacular construction as a result of the division of the same plane by diagonals, horizontals and verticals and the lines, which converted into subtle planes that cross the work, reveal the way in which nephew builds and frames.
